FRANK DI ROCCO
“TRUE PROFESSIONAL” and “POSITIVELY PASSIONATE” are words that best describe Frank! A respected leader in the Business and Sport Events Industry for over 25 years, his extensive sales and hospitality background includes working with Delta Hotels and Resorts as Director, National Sales as well as other Sales Leadership positions with Interstate Hotels and Resorts, IHG and Accor.
He has worked tirelessly in the development and success of the Sports Market with ME (Fuel Sports). He continues to assist and consult with several Provincial and National Sport Organization on their events with a focus on strategic sourcing of Hotel accommodations and negotiations. Frank is in great company, his clients include; Curling Canada, Rugby Canada, Standardbred Canada, USPORTS to name a few.
Frank enjoys helping clients find solutions to their needs through his expertise and vast industry network. Frank believes in giving back and stays engaged through MPI, CSAE and CSTA and serves on the Program Advisory Committee for the Centre for Hospitality & Culinary Arts at George Brown College. He is blessed with a beautiful family of 3 kids (Christina, Joseph and Milena) and supportive spouse Palma. He balances his busy work, life schedule enjoying the wild outdoors and appreciates what nature has to offer by creating tasty smoked fish, meats and charcuterie. Sometimes he is even able to squeeze in a golf game or two.
What is your favourite sport to participate in?
I would have to say that Golf is my favourite sport to play, although my real passion is still fishing, hunting and hiking. Being outdoors is therapeutic and allows me to escape and rejuvenate after a hectic work week.
What is your favourite sport to watch? And who do you cheer on?
I enjoy watching most all sports, but if I had to choose my favourite, it would have to be the Olympics or World Cup Soccer. Watching talented and passionate athletes perform demonstrates the incredible strength and potential of the human mind and body. “Forza Italia”
Why are Sports your Passion?
Sport brings people together; it invokes passion and creates lasting memories. When I started my career in the Hotel/Hospitality Industry I was fortunate to have worked with many National, Provincial and Local Sport Organization, creating many friendships and relationships that have continued for almost 30 years later. Being involved from my onset I have been able to share industry insight and expertise and watch the success of major sport events come to fruition.
